My intuition’s been off-cue
Slipping on fresh stress.
It should have had a cleaner view,
Not made, but dodged, this mess.
Deep paths entangle. Hope gets through.
Some guiding pebbles show.
I’ll seek if I may hide with you.
Those demons need not know.
Written for dVerse Quadrille #20 using the prompt “cue”.
So much better with pebbles than with cookie crumbs… love the end..

I know all about the “fresh stress.” Wonderful piece. I look forward to reading more.

Very good, so much is being said in such a short poem.

I like the way you twist the idea of hide and seek into something else entirely.

“I’ll seek if I may hide with you.” — I love this so much. And I always admire a well-rhymed Q! 🙂

This is both beautiful and poignant at the same time. Best wishes to you, Frank 🙂

Isn’t it nice when you have to hide, and you have someone to hide with-

Stress makes me want to hide too. I hope things get better soon.

I’ve been slipping on some fresh stress lately myself…no fun, but I enjoyed your quadrille.

I have felt this way a time or two:
My intuition’s been off-cue
Slipping on fresh stress.

How true, Frank, sometimes intuition can be off-cue. I like the idea of guiding pebbles, as in Hansel and Gretel, and those final lines:
‘I’ll seek if I may hide with you.
Those demons need not know.’

Fresh stress. Yup, I’m all too familiar with that! It’s easier, though, if you can hide and seek wroth someone else!

We do it our way. We do our own thing and none to bother

I love this Frank, when we allow ourselves to come out of alignment with our higher selves our intuition is ‘off-cue’. ‘Hope gets through. Some guiding pebbles show.’ is so true, there is always something or someone there to guide us back. Beautifully written :o)

Love the journey aspect here…off cue, off centre, lost, entangled…but hope, guiding pebbles and maybe a haven from the demons a while.

Thanks, Paul. I felt more off-cue myself when I was writing that. It is always nice to have a haven especially with others to share it with.

Sometimes I find that writing brings me back to centre more often than not.
