In the old days we’d write on black slate
That would screech as the chalk scratched the plate
Or pop with each pound.
Now my mouse moves around
And my tablet sounds better than great.

This is so good. Love it.

Very nice. I miss writing by hand. I had such a fantastic writing once, even learnt calligraphy. But once my fingers found the pleasure of typing, writing seems like such a chore. Is technology for the better or worse?

I still write notes by hand when I am walking, but that is the only time. Everything else is with a keyboard.

My notes are all on my phone. My thumb gets a whole lot of exercise 🙂

Comic relief welcome. I still like to write by hand most of my poetry and some fiction.

I do find it easier when I’m walking to use a notebook and pen, but then I never learned how to type efficiently with my thumbs on my phone and the stylus is not always accurate. So I rarely use it.

The scratching of chalk on a slate is a noise that sometimes annoys me, although I love writing on a slate!
I wonder what changes another 50 years will bring! Great limerick, Frank!
