I take for granted the bright Moon
The way I do the Sun’s clear day
And should I find that someday soon
The Moon gets lost or towed away
Or popped above like a balloon,
Would I regret it couldn’t stay?

Popping the moon — excellent imagery.
So would you? … Regret?

What made me think of this poem is that I probably wouldn’t even notice the Moon was gone if someone stole it since I don’t look at it unless it pops out at me in the sky.

Oh I think you would! What would we do without the moon? Lovely, Frank!

I like to think eventually I’d notice it wasn’t there and of course there would be no tide. Thanks, Bekkie!
