Like colored Easter eggs placed in their nest
These houses built about the hills
Are perfect paintings of an inner best
We cannot see except for these bright frills.
We trust that thrills felt deeper do exist
And there’s no reason not to think they do.
Beneath the painted lips are hearts. When kissed
They warm projecting peace through winters, too.

That was stunning, Frank! A wonderful poem to go along with such a nice photograph. I like that you tied it to Easter and the people who live inside such nice homes. “Beneath the painted lips are hearts” awesome words. Hugs!

Thank you, Bekkie! And thanks for presenting the prompt. It is the first I have heard of Gary Lo. Apparently he is quite popular with over 15,000 followers on Google+. I am now one of them.

I especially enjoy your mandalas, Bekkie. They are rather hypnotizing.

Really excellent wordsmithing here, frank. Inner best, hearts when kissed… Just a perfect thing to read, with the yard still in snow.

Thank you! The snow has mostly gone from where I am in Chicago. Spring can try to come again.
