Footsteps touch the sand.
Toes and bare feet land
That way.
Sun makes its strong stand
Like it’s all been planned
With play.
Nothing real is bland.
All with light gets tanned
Today.

Ah, yes, the ocean beaches await–now if we can go mid-week & avid the throngs, that would be as sweet as your lovely poem. You fulfilled the prompt parameters for the form & still had some fun with it.

Thanks, Glenn! The beaches somewhere await although I’m back in Chicago where the weather today is perfect.

It’s summer. Although I prefer forests and trails, the beach is a kind of trail as well. Thanks!

The beach is nice in the right weather and it is probably the right weather somewhere where there’s a beach. Thank you!

“Sun makes its strong stand”…I could feel the line. Though officially summer ought to take leave by now making room for the rains, the sun wishes to stick around with us, here in India. Sigh.

Lovely flow to this, Frank, and such a calm, lighthearted feel, too. I love the photo, too.
We haven’t made it to the beach (down the shore, as we say in Philadelphia/S. Jersey) yet this season–maybe one day next week.

The beach is very nice, but I prefer forests and walking to swimming. My compromise is walking along the shore. I hope you make it there. Thanks!
