Lady, Green and Red

Lady Green and Red

Lady loved the plants’ light green
With flowers brightly red.
Her face angelically serene
Had leaves to shade her head.

    1. Thanks, Ronnie! I may expand it later. I also put it on Jilly’s August Challenge for others to expand if they want. I didn’t want to make it too long for that reason. I am glad you liked it.

    1. Very nice, Alison! Although I was not thinking of Christmas when I wrote it (being August), now that you mention it, it does go well with Christmas and a poinsettia would have the right colors.

  1. Aha! A second Challenge – hooray! Looking at this I can see how carefully placed punctuation could alter the meaning; I like that. The symbolism of color is an essential element in literature for me, so your poem has great depth. Well done! As always, your photos are fabulous!

  2. All that remains is ‘blue’. But I will restrain myself from adding that colour. It’s an introduction of the main character, now someone has to complete the story, I guess..

    1. One could continue it using colors. I am not sure how I would continue it, but it is offered as the start of a poem that needs a finish although it could stand alone as it is. Thank you!
