I want the cosmic and mundane
To merge into a truer view,
To turn into a new terrain
That wakes when autumn’s light shines through.

Wonderful poem.
I love the sunset and the shot from under the iron bridge. You can’t beat a good bridge.

That train bridge is nice. It is a favorite place for me to stop when walking through that woods. Some of the best graffiti I’ve seen is made under it. Thanks, Dale!

Here’s 2 quotes that fit perfect to your amazing writing poem:
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~ George Eliot
There is not one big cosmic meaning for all, there is only the meaning we each give to our life, an individual meaning, an individual plot, like an individual novel, a book for each person. ~ Anais Nin

Those are both nice quotes, Charlie! I like the idea of being that bird seeking successive autumns if that is possible, or alternating them with springs.

If we had the capacity as birds I think anything would be possible. Spiritual of course.

The stars above don’t mingle with stones
No wonder they feel so damn alone

Interesting idea about why stars are lonely. I normally don’t think stars have a perspective, but that may be just a materialist belief and not reality. Thank you!

Frank I love this description and title. Truly Autumn is that combination of the usual and the “cosmic.” Wonderful job!

It seems to transcend the mundane and the cosmic on its own. Thank you, Amanda!

That’s a nice set of pictures for the autumn. It’s early, the trees still have their summer green.

We have just started autumn, but I can sense at change in the atmosphere that has that autumn feeling about it. Thank you!

I love seeing those branches silhouetted against the colorful sky!

I was surprised to see it since I figured more leaves would be on the trees for a few more weeks at least. I am glad you liked it!
