The shoin house is simply made.
It looks upon the pond.
Nature tolerates that, too.
She’s proud to see what we can do,
How pretty we respond.
Nature doesn’t simulate.
She plays the game for keeps.
We assume we know it all.
We reach the cliffs. We brag. We fall.
She cradles, dreams and sleeps.
Photos: “Shoin House”, above, and “Drain in Forest Preserve”, below, both by the author. The shoin house is part of the Chicago Botanic Garden and the drain is in Somme Woods. They are linked to K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge with theme “Man Made Meets Mother Nature”. The bottom one is for trablogger’s Mundane Monday.
Beautiful!

Again, a very interesting combination of text and pictures. The house is beautiful with it´s magnificent view and you are the one photographer that transforms a park drain in a work of art.

Thank you, Danik! I am glad you liked that park drain. I needed something “mundane” for one of the prompts.

Love this: Nature doesn’t simulate. She plays the game for keeps. We assume we know it all. We reach the cliffs. We brag. We fall. She cradles, dreams and sleeps.-oh the humility of humanity and the authenticity of nature. So good Frank.

Not claiming to know too much allows us to see better what is really there. Thank you, Ben!

The building was set in the Chicago Botanic Garden with that view in mind as you walked past it when the weather allows the shutters to be open. Thanks, Dale!

Thank you! I was surprised to find that drain in the forest preserve and then realized it was protecting the parking lot from flooding.
