The Moon lets me stare at it unlike the Sun. I need a cooler face that doesn’t burn my eyes. I know little about the Moon, but that doesn’t matter.
I pass two cats along the boardwalk. They don’t mind me looking at them either and I know as little about them as I do about the Moon.

I love the cats and the moon – knowing not much about either, although I think we will come closer to understanding the moon than to cats! I like the open feeling in this.

The Moon goes through the magnetotail of the Earth for six days around a full Moon. There may be a good reason for the change in behavior. Thank you, Linda!

Two of my favourite things in one haibun – moon and cats. Maybe the moon enjoys being admired. Anyway, the sun is brash.
