Waves today calmly bounce
Then crawl toward waiting shore.
The air is warm enough for me.
That’s what the sun is for.
Reality is ever near.
It’s patient, does not hide.
I take it all for granted, true,
Still it waits by my side.

Depends on the beach. If it’s in Hawaii and a nice cove, I like snorkling in the water. But if it’s Oregon, I’ll stay on land, too. 🙂

that’s a good description of waves, bounce and then crawl – the water does seem to crawl up as we run away from it or toward it.

Great poem Frank, how true that we so often ingnore the reality of life and take it for granted until something special or traumatic happens.

You word-paint the shore so well in this poem, Frank. I do miss living at the ocean where I could take a short walk and de-stress after work. And I’m a great admirer of your photography.
