Bright Sun

Pigeons stick together waving through the sky.
Seagulls wander off alone aiming their dreams high.
Plovers busy with the shore flitter now and then.
Terns wait by serenely. The Sun will rise again.

  2. Your poem gives such hope, Frank. Probably because, we, like the birds, are waiting for the turn of the planet and the Sun rising, too. Warmth in that sun. Like this very much.

      1. The Salton Sea which is a mess sadly…but it is an hour’s drive or so. Over mountains to the southwest is San Diego (Pacific ocean) but I see them for the most part in mall parking lots and near grocery stores.

  18. A very picturesque description inspiring hope! It added to my GK, as I checked up the meaning of plovers and terns. I am no ornithologist and haven’t heard of these in my part of the world.

  21. Oh, this is such beauty, Frank. Love how you tied gratitude for the sun rising to my #ForgivingFridays post. I also see a link between the different forms of how birds fly with forgiveness. It’s like there are many avenues to forgive, all are part of the exquisite dance of life.

    1. I learned about a few in the past couple of weeks when I went to the local library to see if I could find them. There they were. They popped out of the book I was flipping through. It surprised me how easy they were to find like they meant to be found. Thanks, Mary!
