Belief shows me what I would see
With mirrors everywhere.
Dark branches of the leafless trees
Shiver in the winter’s breeze
As I do standing there.
Text: Linked to dVerse Poetics. Bjorn is hosting with the theme of mirrors.

I feel the shivers with you Frank.

Ooooo. Your (always) excellent knack for rhyme serves you so well here. Love that shiver.

Thank you! It was very cold in that park.

Today it´s a cold summer day, so it´s easier to empatize with the shivers. Again a beautiful documentation in word and pic of the changes of the season.

I don’t mind the cold, but having a cool summer day when it is very hot is also nice. Thanks, Danik!

Belief then probably negates the use of mirrors….unless mirrors amplify the things you see. I like this brain jog. 🙂

It is a brain jog for me as well. Tomorrow it might not make any sense, but I hope the spirit in it is still sound. Thanks, Vivian!

Belief shows me what I would see with mirrors everywhere….without belief, you see nothing, i would suppose. And we’d all be naked and cold! Nice poem to consider.

I agree–we need belief to see at all. It lets us know what to expect and warns us about what might be false. Thanks, Mary!

Maybe we need beliefs in a world of mirrors

They would help there, too. Thanks, Bjorn!

36 is so 20th century for me. 🙂 Sometimes I even clean the mirrors. Thanks, Jane!

Yes, agreed! There are so many clues and examples for one to be updated on, that one’s belief may not be adversely affected by negative assertions of others!

I really love the seaside pics. Even though it’s cold they are beautiful. I love how we get a sense of you or the narrator by your sparse details, but the paint a picture on there own and with the seaside view.

It was cold. My phone shut off which was my signal that it was time to go. Thank you, Amanda!
