Pentimento

Morning Rays of Light

I sometimes think I change my mind
To fit prevailing wind.
It only matters that I find
Amidst these changes I was kind.
If not, well, then I’ve sinned.

Text: Linked to dVerse Poetics. Amaya is hosting with the theme “pentimento”.

Photo: “Morning Rays of Light” that I am linking to Frank Jansen’s Tuesday Photo Challenge since this sunrise looks “exotic” to me which is the theme this week.

News: Yesterday I joined a local poetry group, Poets and Patrons.  They host annual poetry contests and the Helen Schaible International Shakespearean Petrarchan Sonnet Contest.

Author: Frank Hubeny

I enjoy walking, poetry and short prose as well as taking pictures with my phone.

  1. Ah yes……changing our minds should not be labelled as “flip-flopping.” Flip-flopping has such a negative tone and I think many times, it is very good to change our mind! 🙂

    1. I’ve changed my mind throughout the years. I often say to myself about something new that I’ve learned that I don’t really understand it until I’ve changed my mind about it at least once. Thanks, Lillian!

  2. Beautiful seascape (I also liked the poem but my likes are sticking erratically today for some reason — some likes stay on and some don’t when I recheck the page — so I’ll try to check back later and redo it. You may be getting more likes than you know if other people are having the same problem and it’s not sticking — but it could just be me.)
