Birds may chatter. I walk by.
Trees prepare to greet the Sun
That concentrates on shiny things
Like bonds held true with golden rings.
The birds rejoice when morning’s come.

Phew! I’m glad you’re not sure what emotion this is meant to convey😄….cos I’m lost in the beauty of nature greeting the morning and the sun. ( so I can’t help either!)

Relief is what I imagine the birds feel when the sun comes up.

There are many possibilities spoken of here Frank. I like to think the sun is shining a blessing on the golden ringed bonds.

the great expectation – reminds me of a sci-fi short story titled “All Summer in a Day” if I remember correctly.

Loved this unusual expectation of spring. You captured the movements of the birds. They make everything look lighter and happier even vegetation chastised by the stern winter.

It took me a while to realize those birds are there, but now I hear them whenever I walk. Winter does chastise vegetation. Thank you, Danik!

It sounds like a comparison of the relationship of the birds to morning and a married couple. I like the shiny things and golden rings. Lots of birds and people like shiny things and golden rings

I love all the photos of birds, Frank, and the reminder that spring is just around the corner in ‘Trees prepare to greet the Sun’. I was struck by the #shiny things / Like bonds held true with golden rings’. Could this be marriage?

I was thinking about that when writing it and then maybe the bonds expanding to everything including those birds, but I don’t know. Thank you, Kim!

The “bonds held true” theme is strong. I feel like you were alluding to marriage and to the “marriage” of the creatures of nature: the birds to the trees to the sun to you…

There is a bond here, a marriage and with nature in some way. Thank you, Amaya!

What I get from your poem is that sometimes, we people, are oblivious to the beauty and miracles around us unlike the birds who celebrate each new day.
