One has to protect oneself. I see forgiveness as a sort of protection as well. One makes fewer mistakes when one is calmer.

Oh Frank, I love this. So many levels to what you share for forgiveness. First is to love it all, even the seemingly unloveable. I was telling a client the story of a farmer who was scared of a “monster”, and as soon as he loved it, the monster shrunk into the size of his hand. 🙂 Second is to set healthy boundaries. My spiritual mentor has said that it’s completely fine to love people from afar.
Frank, I also wanted to let you know that it looks like I’m going to take a blogging break. Not 100% sure, yet I think so. Going to sleep on it tonight …. a way for me to attune inside and relax into Spirit’s creative message for my blog. Sending you ever so many grateful blessings, Frank!
