When death comes to ask forgiveness
May I be ready with a kiss.
Take these trinkets. Take that treasure.
I need nothing more than this.

I don’t know how something quite morose like this can be so stunning. Nice poem.

I’m going to refrain from using profanity, but you’d better believe it’s pouring out of my lips.
This is so flippin’ good, Frank; I can hardly contain myself.
Your short poems are brilliant, my dear. I genuinely want so many of them spread all over my walls.

Facing the ultimate with such confidence was a soul that had created a path of sincerity and integrity and was warmly regarded in their lifetime. Very true Frank!

I too, wrote about death this time. How strange that we think of it with this artwork.

I don’t know why it reminded me of death, perhaps the road leading to the water. I noticed when reading yours that you seemed to have a similar idea. It is a nice painting. Thank you, Bekkie!

If death asks our forgiveness, perhaps it will be for coming too soon. Words for thought. Nice!

If it comes too soon that would be reason to ask forgiveness. I thought of that line yesterday when thinking about forgiving someone before it is too late. Thank you, Mary!

I don’t find this dark at all, Frank. Guess I’m far enough down the road to understand and accept.

It wasn’t intended to be dark, but then it is about death. I was hoping the idea of “forgiveness” softened the darkness somewhat. Thank you, Sarah, for noticing that it wasn’t really dark.
