Don’t get tangled up in stuff
While dreams go their ways.
Giving all you have’s enough
To lighten shadowed days.

Man, I know you’re right on that one. I’ve had more hobbies than that guy with the little liver pills.

Your brevity is solemn–your message/advice is well received. My piece expands on the notion that some of us pursued our dreams into a less than satisfying reality.

I pursued many dreams to dead ends. Hopefully along the way something good came of it. Thank you, Glenn!

Great work and wise advice, using a minimal number of words. Reminds me of my haiku days, when I was challenged to convey a story in just a few lines. I really enjoyed this micro-poem.

It may be like a haiku or tanka at least in being short. I am glad you enjoyed this!

The first line…”Don’t get tangled up in stuff”, now that is a big one. Since it seems most of life is just stuff!! Here I am thinking about the “Tar Baby,” now ain’t it the truth…we do get all tangled up in stuff, more often than we might like.

Every day I get tangled up in the stuff I think I must do. It is like a tar baby as you mention. Thank you, Annell!

Late to the pub I am….but enjoying your advice here. And your two photos illustrate the advice well. We can tend to get tangled up with the day to day hubbub….I’m reminded here of that phrase, “don’t sweat the small stuff.” 🙂
