Free as a Bird

Bird at Sunrise

Birds because they glide through sky
Are free since wings can take them high.
I also trust the lordly tree
Is free though rooted down with me.

  1. It’s a beautiful thought, Frank! Of course the freedom is not being able to do everything, but able to do what you desire. but these days, trees are losing their freedom to even live. On my way to work, there was a gigantic tree, which now stands without any branches or leaves like big stump, because they have cut it down (partially for some strange reason!) to expand the highway. Only if they would do even part of the effort they put forth in cutting that tree, an alternative could have born!

    1. It is sad about the many trees that are cut down. Some are because of disease or other reasons. Some I don’t know why. Good point about freedom. Thank you, Jay!
