Forgiveness is the food of love
That patience hopes to bring.
We eat while daily dreaming of
How peace would let us sing.

Frank, I’ll be honest. Usually, I would not care for verse as short as yours. No fault of the verse — it’s just tastes. But yours I care very much for. And I think I finally figured out why. Yours almost always is firmly rooted in a truth, and a thought provoking one at that. How can you beat that when combined with the beauty of your verse?

I am glad you liked this, Paul. I usually don’t write anything longer than a sonnet unless it is prose. I try to make it meaningful, but sometimes I forget what that meaning was. Thank you!

I love, love, love this Frank!! It is so laser focused on love. How did you get the inspiration for it? Truly, each word I read was like a drop of wisdom and forgiveness. Thank you for contributing this verse for #ForgivingFridays. 🙂
Blessings,
Debbie
