Corn by Frank Hubeny

Corn is drying in the field.
Autumn takes our breath away.
Summer’s growth has come to yield
Corn that’s drying in the field.
Hearts stay ready. May they shield
Hope when winter comes to play.
Corn was drying in the field.
Autumn took our breath away.

I enjoy walking, poetry and short prose as well as taking pictures with my phone.

    1. That is the first time I saw a squirrel do that, but I was at my sister’s house and I normally don’t see squirrels up close. I have chipmunks on the patio. It is fun watching them get into the bird feeder. Thank you, Terre!
