Corn is drying in the field.
Autumn takes our breath away.
Summer’s growth has come to yield
Corn that’s drying in the field.
Hearts stay ready. May they shield
Hope when winter comes to play.
Corn was drying in the field.
Autumn took our breath away.
Linked to dVerse Meeting the Bar. Jilly offers the theme of repetition. This poem is a triolet where there are repeating lines. Photos and poem by Frank Hubeny, a member of Prairie Writers Guild.
You know I love repetition. The rhythm of the seasons moves through your words. (K)

Squirrels make me laugh when they do this. They just hang out on the fence. Silly squirrels!

That is the first time I saw a squirrel do that, but I was at my sister’s house and I normally don’t see squirrels up close. I have chipmunks on the patio. It is fun watching them get into the bird feeder. Thank you, Terre!
