Sublimely Structural

Leaves with Stone

Not the branch nor the tree
Dancing leaves majestically
Do their small but useful part
To green the ground with mystery.

The wind may kiss us on the fly.
We catch caresses from the sky.
Sublimely structural - stay low
To aim our treasures high.

  1. I love that you wrote in the rubaiyat form. Hope some of ours will make it into the dVerse form book to come.

  2. I love the phrase ‘green the ground with mystery’ and the idea of catching caresses from the sky – that’s effective use of alliteration, Frank!
