Miracles are best when one is waiting,
When there is nothing else that one can do,
When harsh despair must look on love deflating,
When something unprepared for passes through.
Linked to dVerse Poetics where the theme is “waiting”. Sarahsouthwest is hosting. Also linked to Debbie Roth’s final Forgiving Fridays and to Trent P. McDonald’s The Weekly Smile. That “something unprepared for” made me smile.
Poem and photo combine, the poem is sad and the fallen leaves of the tree look like tears.

Those leaves do seem like tears. Thank you, Danik!

This is so true, Frank! I like the shift from major in the first two lines to minor in the final two – bittersweet.

Every miracle will come when you least expect it … the trick is not showing that you’re waiting and it will come sneaking.

Exactly so. The limbo is torture that can only be achieved by resolution one way or another. So much said in so few words!

You had me at /something unprepared for passes through/. We’ve all been there. For me, the trouble with miracles is their scarcity .

A great description of a miracle. Only when all is lost- do we recognise it. Great take!

Believe it or not, while I am waiting I am usually praying for all of you! Among others!

Miracles – are a way of bringing back hope when all seems lost. I think that is why they make us stop and pause.
Love the flower photo – another of yours?

You said it very well… someone once said: Life happens when we have other plans… That is when waiting becomes very intense!

When something unprepared for
passes through.
Most of those caught in throes of waiting would accept it as something unfortunate readily forgiven for a minor human failing

Oh Frank, I love this! I was just thinking this morning how it was time for me to “be” and just allow God to drop in exactly what I need for what’s next. This blog post is a beautiful contribution to my last Forgiving Fridays. Grace is so abundantly present in the words, and in you. 🙂
Love and Light,
Debbie
