Magic

Chicago Botanic Garden
Magic through the wizard’s hand
Waves dimly. We don’t understand,
Wondering how we got here,
Trembling short of breath with fear.
There’s that forest, dense and dark.
Demons hide. Beware their bark.

Expose them. Choose and let life be.
Reject what’s dark for majesty.

  1. I love that your fairy tale beginning has a strong underlying moral, Frank. Scary lines for scary times:
‘There’s that forest, dense and dark.
    Demons hide. Beware their bark.’

  2. Hopefully we will reject what’s dark in these trying times. We can all use a little majesty! Great write, Frank.
