Kaleidoscope – Six Sentence Story

Helen laughed when she heard Headquarters claimed Bill was killed in the raid. “They don’t even know who Bill is,” she said. “The agents we arrested in that kaleidoscope of tunnels made plea bargains before Headquarters heard anything of it.”

“I wonder when the rats will start running.” Timothy added, “I hope they think it’s safe to implement the spider protocol.”

An hour later Helen smiled, “We got them!”

Denise offers the word “kaleidoscope” for this week’s Six Sentence Story. This story continues from Plow – Six Sentence Story. The next part is Rodeo – Six Sentence Story.

  1. love the momentum*
    Excellent installment.

as an aficionado of serial Sixes, I really admire the brevity, the spareness in word count, that you execute, all without surrounding the magic quality of being engaging

      1. Dude! Welcome to the world of serial writing …while the correct approach, as so I read, is to write the story and serialize it. Must less stress and, I would submit, less excitement.
Writing as you are and I am (along with a couple of others here in Sixville) is more akin to a live performance, maybe open mic night… You play/write how the story unfolds without the benefit of a conclusion… way more stess but much cooler
        keep it up
(Taking this approach requires, imo, increasing confidence in our characters. They are telling the story, we’re just writing it down.)
