Splashy

Busy folk in the city paid no attention to the clouds splashing through the sky. The clouds got darker. They dropped thick, beautiful snow. The busy folk couldn’t get to work. The snow was so deep the snow plow driver didn’t see the sign to raise the plow in time. That made a mess.

People blamed the politicians who promised global warming. The politicians blamed the scientists. The scientists blamed Gaia. Since Gaia doesn’t exist, she couldn’t care less.

The clouds couldn’t care less either, because that’s not what clouds do. They splash through the sky dropping rain and snow.

    How nice. Someone who uses “couldn’t care less” correctly. 😉 And don’t we cast blame? It’s a favorite human past time, isn’t it? Nicely done with your splashy clouds.

  12. I love it, I love it, I love it! One thing Eve did right in the garden. She blamed the serpent. She at least knew it was futile to blame Adam even though he was right there and knew what God said. It is quite humbling when you see what blame does and the direction it spreads.
    Now Adam, on the other hand…..I shall stop here.

    1. Good point about Eve blaming the serpent and not Adam even though he ultimately blamed her. The serpent did have a role to play in it. Thank you, Mary!
