Does the Lord Know Everything?

Hebrews 8:10-12
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

For those in His new covenant, the Lord remembers our sins and our iniquities no more.

The important questions are Whom do we know? Has His laws been written in our hearts? Are they in our minds? Are we in His new covenant?

    1. Amen! Good reminder of 1 Corinthians 2:16: “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.” May we use it. Blessings, Mary!

  1. HE does know everything–and I have blessed confidence that I can rest in His new covenant where grace falls like dew each day…sparing me the striving to be perfect, since we’re made perfect IN CHRIST. God bless you, brother, as we walk through Passion Week.

  2. He does know everything, and he has forgiven everything.

We also know everything, but we remember all our flaws and sins. We remember when we didn’t get our way. We remember what our neighbor did to our newspaper that 2nd Tuesday of October in 1987. Then we get to thinking relatively. Well, yeah, I might have lied, but I didn’t kill anyone. I might have forgotten some things on my tax return or remembered things that didn’t actually happen… But I was nice to the neighbor’s dog. I may have been unfaithful to my spouse, but they’re not home a lot and I get “lonely” so… it’s a victimless crime, not like rape, theft, or murder. God loves us even though we are sinful. We’re the ones that set the entrance requirements. Being separated from God doesn’t mean we are not God’s. We just accept His forgiveness and His promise and there we are, back with God where we’re loved unconditionally.

    1. May we call upon His name and then we shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Good point that we are now righteous after Jesus paid the price. Blessings to you, Rebecca!
