As he prepared a nasty response to some nonsense, Steve heard the Voice.
Don’t let demons run your mouth for you.
“Yeah, but the level of this nonsense is really nonsensical,” Steve thought so only the Voice could hear him.
You were worse than he is now a few years ago.
“Yeah, but this guy really annoys me,” Steve thought.
When Steve’s heart remembered that, indeed, he was worse, he smiled and then laughed and then, because kindness is a blessing even the nonsensical understand, there were soon two mouths laughing.

Excellent brother. “kindness is a blessing even the nonsensical understand, there were soon two mouths laughing.” Take the beam out of your own eye first.

Good point about taking the beam out of one’s own eye first. Blessings, Michael!

Excellent last sentence, Frank. With time, hopefully comes perspective. Throw in kindness and you have the makings for a positive interaction.

By the way, you can delete all of these half written comments – I won’t be offended! If anything, I’m surprised that you didn’t. WordPress glitched, and glitched hard, it seems! Weirdly, this isn’t the first time this has happened to me either – I’ve had it glitch halfway through writing a comment on one of Keith’s posts, and it posted that half written comment 6 times in the comments, and then he had it show up another 20+ times in his spam folder!

Today I had those words on the tip of my tongue and only a prayer stopped them. They don’t help, they only drive a wedge. This is an excellent story.

Good point about harsh words. And good advice that prayer can stop them. Blessings, Mimi!

We all have the option (potential?) to relate ourselves to the world around us with positive feelings or negative feelings. Our world (and the people who make it up) do not have the power to force us to choose one over the other.
