Just dare to speak. That mountain will
be moved and raging winds grow still.
Then praise with thanks the Lord and fill
forever with His love.

Ronovan Hester offers the inspiration “dare” for this week’s Ovi Poetry Challenge. Also posted on Poet’s Corner.
Mark 4:39 KJV – And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

And here is Jesus: “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Blessings.

Nice work, M. I dig the interpretation. I guess most people think the mountain just crumbles, or fades away, or actually moves. and it DOES move, but I always think of it remaining in place but shifting in your mind from “insurmountable’ to ‘ just another pesky little stumbling block’.
Cool Ovi. Thanks.

Thank you, Ron!
I don’t have any place for an actual mountain to go, so I am glad they stay where they are. However, there are a lot of metaphorical “mountains”, such as, problems, storms or conflicts, that I would like to see moved or calmed down or resolved. These I speak to.

He tells us we will do greater works with the Holy Spirit filling us, and we sillies tend to forget and see the mountains or winds, not Him and His promise.

“and fill
forever with His love.” Oh blessed thought, that faith and thanksgiving to the Lord really does lead to this! Hallelujah!
