Six Sentence Story: Victim

“Wield the sword with one hand and protect the baby with the other,” John proclaimed to the devil as it approached.

“What?” the devil responded.

“You heard me,” John replied.

The devil didn’t say anything, but that didn’t stop John from continuing.

“I’m looking for a good fight,” John said.

The devil backed away knowing there must be, somewhere, a softer victim, someone easier to tip over into disobedience.

  1. John reminded me what what I learned in a self-defense class years ago: Give off the air that you’ll end up being too much of a bother should anyone think to make you their target, and they’ll choose to ignore you. Great six!

    1. That is very good advice. I got the idea for this story from Curry Blake’s teachings. He used to be a martial arts instructor, but he’s now involved with training to live in divine health. Blessings, Nicole!
