“Wield the sword with one hand and protect the baby with the other,” John proclaimed to the devil as it approached.
“What?” the devil responded.
“You heard me,” John replied.
The devil didn’t say anything, but that didn’t stop John from continuing.
“I’m looking for a good fight,” John said.
The devil backed away knowing there must be, somewhere, a softer victim, someone easier to tip over into disobedience.

Denise offers the prompt word “tip” to be used in this week’s Six Sentence Story.
1 Peter 5:8 KJV – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Ephesians 6:14-17 KJV – 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
I really love this. So thankful for Jesus. Blessings.

John reminded me what what I learned in a self-defense class years ago: Give off the air that you’ll end up being too much of a bother should anyone think to make you their target, and they’ll choose to ignore you. Great six!

That is very good advice. I got the idea for this story from Curry Blake’s teachings. He used to be a martial arts instructor, but he’s now involved with training to live in divine health. Blessings, Nicole!
