Six Sentence Story: Fly Away

When Daniel got tired of writing King Nimrodwannabe’s dreams and his interpretations of them he’d let his visions fly to YouTube looking for a video that would give him enough refreshment to get back to work. Rapidly scrolling past an incredible amount of click bate garbage he found a video on how to make a paper airplane that would return to sender like a boomerang, but where was he going to get paper in Babilopolis in the 6th century BC?

He eyed the parchments upon which he was recording the dreams Nimrodwannabe lost in the land of forgetfulness wondering how well it might fold. He was sorely tempted.

However, if he didn’t continue writing, 21st century scholars with their interminable doubts that he or even Nimrodwannabe ever existed would have nothing material in their hands to doubt. He went back to work.

  1. Intriguing concept. Scrolling through YouTube to find a video and yet using parchment to write his dream interpretations? Was he taking notes in Ancient Aramaic?

Was Daniel a time traveler or was he faking the book? We need about 20 more 6-sentence stories to answer that question.

Also the boomerang airplane was an interesting concept. I believe the whole reason airflight was not common until 1903 was because Parchment was too heavy to fold and keep its shape so no parchment airplanes.

    1. I’m not sure where this series of tales is going. I am hoping the Book of Daniel can inspire about 20 of these six sentence stories.

There actually is a YouTube video on how to make a boomerang paper airplane. I might even try making one.

Regarding his visions of the 21st century, I may have carried Daniel’s actual prophetic visions too far. I agree that parchment would not have worked well.

      Blessings, Rebecca, and thank you!

    1. I hope he wrote enough on it for the finder to benefit from it. Your comment made me think that writing is a lot like throwing a paper airplane to the wind. Blessings, Keith!
