I’d quiver uselessly with fear
But autumn weather’s very nice.
Let this fall come settle here.
I’ll hold off worrying of ice.
White stuff that the winter brings
May bury me in frigid snows,
But not today. Autumn sings
Final songs before it goes.
Linked to dVerse Quadrille. De Jackson is hosting with the word “quiver”.

This is very upbeat, Frank.

I think we better enjoy it before it all freeze over… maybe there will be snow to ski in the end though

Don’t know how you got to my blog, since I hardly do any poems lately, but I like your last line of Autumn singing it’s final song today! Of course I went to the quiver- challenge blog, but I need to refrain, have already too much on my plate, or palette, I should say, because I am mostly a painter. Thanks for coming by!

Stunning, Frank–one of your best. You’ve made a maximum use of a quadrille, wrapping it in wilted roses and sunkissed leaves.

No snow where I live. I thought we were done with the heat and finally having blessed fall, but no, they’ve predicted temps in the 90s this week. UGH!
