Its spines stood out in shiny red
with body black against white wall.
Its web seemed barely there at all
but formed a sticky prison bed.
The traps effectively were spread
to catch deception in midair.
The truth exposed each lie out there
and everywhere we heard the crash.
The busted celebration bash
had cursed repentance, scorned good prayer.

I wish I had more thumbs, so that I could give you more than just two thumbs up. I’ll just have to settle for using my big toes as thumbs. Nicely worded, Frank, and great photo!

Oh my goodness! My brain couldn’t process the image (just didn’t match what a spider should look like) so I googled this critter – it is incredible! Fabulous captures of himself & his web!
I like your decima & how you met the challenge – fun fun!

Someone told me the name of this spider or it would still be a mystery to me. Thank you!

WOW wow wow, Frank–Excellent, powerful! You’re the 5-Star writer 🙂 And on a personal note, celebrating New Year with Jesus totally rocks–so I’m sad for those who just don’t get it. I’m reading 2 devotionals this year (as usual), as well as starting over with reading through the Bible in a year–it never gets old, God’s Bread is always fresh, His Light ever true. I’m having too much fun, what can I say ? 🙂

Thank you, Jael! I plan to read this January the Gospels and Acts and use David Pawson’s Unlocking the Bible as a guide to keep me focused on key points. I have also been reading Pawson’s Practicing the Principles of Prayer (which is also on YouTube).
