Dale offers the prompt “here comes summer” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
I submitted the following nonsense poem to Chel Owen’s A Mused Poetry Contest. The contest theme is “a silly poem about an unusual eccentricity”. It is still open for those who want to enter.
Moon Dancing
The night sky is clear and the full moon is bright.
It’s nutty I know but I’ll dance in its light.
The moon doesn’t care. “Yes, I do.” Well, so what?
“You’re nutty enough.” No, I ain’t. “You’re a nut.”

Hahaha, excellent poem, Frank, with a wonderful view to go with it, thanks.

We need to take time to be silly sometimes. Great poem.
Love the photo of the honeysuckle. One of my favorite plants. Reminds me of childhood, and the fun of licking the honey off. Is that near you?

Yes, it is nearby. We live in Florida and Illinois. For the summer we are in Illinois.

Is that a white honeysuckle? Beautiful. And I really love the view with all those different layers of mountains. Makes one feel like packing the rucksack and going off –

I am not sure what it is, but it is all around the Forest Preserve at the moment. Those mountains in North Carolina are beautiful. Thank you!
