Below are pictures of snow taken some years ago to help all of those in northern climates get ready for winter.
In South Carolina, it is cool, but not this cold. These pictures remind me of one reason why we moved south although there were times that the snow was beautiful and I do miss those.

Good Morning Frank! Those are very nice pictures to remind me that snow does exist because here in South Jersey we had no snow last year and so far none this year just rain that keeps my 3 basement sump pumps busy!

The first and last snows were always my favorites. It was then warm enough for the snow to cling to the trees and for me to walk around in it. Thank you, Dan!

Oh yes, for years I wanted to move south but it seems my traveling is done in pictures. Here is something I heard but never realized. Every rainfall wherever it is, begins with snow. Because the clouds are so high. Makes perfect sense to me. And I know there is a story or poem in there somewhere.

We drove in snow last weekend. It was harrowing. Worse–it was in Kansas! Nebraska, which is NORTH of Kansas got very little. We had dry roads when we returned to Nebraska and snow-packed from Oklahoma through Kansas. We spent 22 hours on the road: 11. 5 hours down on Saturday, and 10.5 hours back on Sunday. It’s normally about 7 hours one way. I don’t mind snow if I’m not on the road with idiot drivers.

Driving in the snow is dangerous and it does slow one down. Even walking is difficult. I have often fallen just by taking the wrong step on the sidewalk even when I thought I was being careful. I am glad to hear you made it back safe in spite of the idiot drivers. Blessings to you, Rebecca!
