I really like the detail in that old pavement and it’s amazing how those mosaics are so well preserved.

Those mosaics were buried in sand (if I recall correctly) for over a thousand years which helped preserve them, Thank you!

When I read some of the biblical accounts of heaven, I imagine “art for art’s sake”.
Psalm 89:5–7 says, “The heavens praise your wonders, LORD, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him.”

Good point about the biblical account of heaven.
When we consider all the galaxies that the space telescopes have imaged, it is amazing what the Lord has done. He knew we would be curious about them and He gave us something amazing to see. Blessings and thank you, Michael!
