After the voice rescued me from Lou’s cloud of demonic darkness, the tall, thin man figured I might as well get to know Lou in person and so we all sat at a table with the red-headed writer (though Aurelia had to leave when her phone told her to stop lollygagging and get back to work). The chitchat took some time to unravel its yakkity yarns making a way to my invisible friend, but when it did I had to concede to every skeptic at the table – which was all of us – that I never actually saw the voice nor did I even know his name.
The Bartender brought coffee and desserts and the chitchat resumed until it ended abruptly when Lou, wanting to get to the bottom of the mystery without wasting any more time, insisted that I, Tell that silent voice of yours to say something. I then heard the voice speak one word, Something, the minimum that Lou asked him to say.
From the expressions on the faces of those sitting with me at the table, I realized that none of them heard the voice and so I told them what the voice said. Looking at Lou look back at me I could tell he thought I was too far gone, too mental, too whatever and therefore harmless no matter how hard his terrified cloud of demonic darkness tried to convince him otherwise.

Denise offers the prompt word “yarn” to be used in this week’s Six Sentence Stories.

Look out Lou!
The voice has humor, too bad Lou and the others can’t hear it.

I will likely have to look out as well as Lou. Blessings and thank you!

Aaaa. This is so cool… And Aurelia doesn’t think you are “too mental” she will believe you… About the Voice…

I am glad Aurelia believes me about the Voice.

I think she is also a bit jealous… All she hears are her own thoughts… On full speed and arguing but…

Some of those thoughts might be the voice trying to get through the noise of one’s own thoughts … at least that’s how it has been in my case.

I just took a mental snapshot of your reply. We may have Aurelia struggling now to calm her head and try to hear the voice…

Great episode Frank – I love the word ‘lollygagging’ such a brilliant one and I haven’t heard it in ages 🙌

I owe that word “lollygagging” to Reelika’s Aurelia. It is a wonderful word. Blessings and thank you, Ange!

That voice has a sense of humor, and is also not taking any crap…from anyone. Good for him/her/them! Love that Three Dog Night song, btw. 🤩

what a fun… not so much extension of the story… more a matter of introductions (which when done with humor and humanity as you have (with a touch of smartass) to those who are increasingly a part of the SSC&B)
nicely done!

A great scene, Frank. Should have guessed the Voice would not literally speak out loud to everyone. He’s reserved for Frank’s “ears” only. I’d say that’s a plus Lou deemed Frank “harmless”, lol

Mimi believes you, also. You and the voice are not a menace to Lou, only to his “accompaniers.”
