Trail: Lake Bluff

When living in Illinois I occasionally got a chance to visit the cliffs overlooking Lake Michigan at a small town called Lake Bluff. The ravines were beautiful, but the photos below were of the lake and autumn trees.

These photos, however, are from long ago.

That’s Lake Michigan in the background.
The leaves have almost all fallen.
The bluff is rather deep and steep.

  2. I have been there! It was sometime in the 80s. I pride myself on being a law follower .
    But I remember that in some of those areas you couldn’t park unless you had a city sticker and I didn’t live there and it made me mad because I felt like they were keeping the regular people out…

    Be that as it may, that was about 40 years ago and I did go there and I did park illegally and I did always get a parking ticket, but I remembered it was really beautiful!

    1. I was there about five years ago and parking was available around the stores. I did have to walk about a mile to get to the bluff, but I also wanted to walk the ravines as well, so I didn’t mind. It is a beautiful area. Blessings!
