These are photos of flowers growing in our pots on the patio.
I have no idea what kinds they are. Since they came from the hardware store they are not likely rare. Since they are part of God’s creation they are very good.
Jake’s rationalizations tried to redirect the waterfall of reality away from himself so he could avoid getting wet. If the latter rain came his soul was so dry he might start smelling like petrichor. And if he got filled to overflowing who knows what might happen?
From mountain sources water splashed down boulders like conviction eroding away the resistance of his stony heart.
Jake remembered reading somewhere that given the current rate of erosion the entire mountain would be at sea level in less than fifty million years assuming reality lasted that long. He wondered how long his heart could hold out.
James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
These photos were taken long ago, but here’s a poem that is new:
From oceans to mountains to oceans again with clouds in the sky and the birds coming in. Skip down to the photos. In gratitude stay. Give praise while you can. Oops. The birds flew away.
Along with Romans 11 Sid Roth mentioned the following Scriptures.
Psalm 122:6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Genesis 12:3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Exodus 33:17-18 17 And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
Many stories, few of them good, could have been told about her by those depositing their tithes in the treasury box. Most everyone advised her to keep her tiny coins since neither the temple nor the Lord needed them as much as she did. Figuring she couldn’t survive on them but sensing no one really wanted what little she had to offer she didn’t know what to do.
Regardless of her failings which were perhaps right up there with our own those two coins were all she had. They weren’t much, but they weren’t counterfeit either.
Luke 21:1-4 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
With all the shadows in these photos they might also be seen as “fun in the shade”. Since the day was hot, I was grateful there was shade and cold water nearby.
Yesterday afternoon (Thursday, June 1, 2023) I was one of the members of the audience at the It’s Supernatural program featuring Larry Sparks, Lydia Marrow and Tommy and Miriam Evans. I live only fifteen minutes away from the studio, so it is easy for me to attend. Since moving to the Charlotte area this was the third time I attended.
Normally there are three shows filmed one after the other. The audience claps and gets to see and hear the speakers live. Afterwards the audience is ministered to in a live show that is posted on the It’s Supernatural channel. I expected a sermon of sorts but yesterday there were prayers for healing and blessing. Almost twenty-four hours later I still feel the effects of it in my breathing.
Admittedly for some this may not be the sort of service you find acceptable. I offer it because it is recent (happened yesterday), unusual and I was in the audience.
Although I was not one of those who fell to the floor under the Spirit many did including people I know personally. As I left I had to step around the cameraman who was also on the floor. Fortunately, the studio was able to quickly switch to another camera.
May it be a blessing to you if you have time to watch it or at least provide you with a better understanding of what such ministries are like.
