May the Lord bless you this Christmas season
Dale offers the prompt “Christmas art” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, the last regular challenge of 2023.
Although I didn’t make the wreath below, I did hang it on the door.
For the other three I used LaTeX this past weekend to insert text over photographs that I took some time ago.

______
May the Lord bless you this Christmas season
Since He’s the Lord you’re listening to
and not some demon fooling you,
forget what others say or do.
He is the only one.
They’ll question this and argue that.
It’s you, of course, they’re aiming at.
Your mind is not their new doormat.
Just celebrate the Lord.
______
Ronovan Hester offers the word “celebration” as inspiration for this week’s Ovi Poetry Challenge. Also posted in Poet’s Corner.

Dale offers “festive illuminations” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
The wreath decorates the entrance to the Upper Room Chapel in Fort Mill, SC. We went to a worship service there last Saturday evening and I remembered to take some photos of festive illuminations.

The Lord protects you. Have no fear.
His voice is faithful, true and clear.
His voice is all you need to hear
while walking by His side.
Be healed from every worry, woe.
Where Jesus leads there we will go.
When troubles think they’re winning know
His Spirit’s deep inside.
______
Ronovan Hester offers “survival” as inspiration for this week’s Ovi Poetry Challenge. The poem also appears on Poet’s Corner.

It was the night the virgin sang her lullaby.
The angel, shining with the glory of the Lord and fearful to behold, gave glad tidings of great joy. The joy was without limit. Look for the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.
Then the heavenly hosts praised God, saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
In Bethlehem we found the child.
______
Denise offers the prompt word “limit” to be used in this week’s Six Sentence Stories. For what really happened see Luke 2.
Dale offers the prompt “a cold start” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
Below are pictures of snow taken some years ago to help all of those in northern climates get ready for winter.
In South Carolina, it is cool, but not this cold. These pictures remind me of one reason why we moved south although there were times that the snow was beautiful and I do miss those.
