Freestyle

Dale offers the freestyle or festival prompt for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. I picked freestyle which is anything goes.

These two photos were taken by the pond across the street. In the first I was surprised to the see red blossoms which I think are part of a vine using the tree as support.

The intricate leaves on the tree fascinate me with their details in the second photo. They are only a few feet away from the vine with red blossoms.

Music on Film

Having “a bad case of music festival withdrawal” Dale offers the prompt “music on film” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Letting my imagination dance around me I found two recent photos I took on a walk through the old golf course that was turned into a park across the street.

My imagination said about the first one, “Those plants are dancing.” Then I heard, “That bee and blossom are dancing to the music of a beautiful day.” I thought to myself, You’ve got to be kidding, but I realized I best not say that out loud.

The Great Wide Open

Dale offers the prompt “the great wide open” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

These photos were taken long ago, but here’s a poem that is new:

From oceans to mountains to oceans again
with clouds in the sky and the birds coming in.
Skip down to the photos. In gratitude stay.
Give praise while you can. Oops. The birds flew away.

Fun In The Sun

Dale offers the prompt “fun in the sun” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

With all the shadows in these photos they might also be seen as “fun in the shade”. Since the day was hot, I was grateful there was shade and cold water nearby.

These were taken last Saturday at South Mountains State Park in North Carolina.
