I first thought of taking a picture of a tree, but I have already done something like that.

I ended up going up and down the stairway.

I took some pictures along the Shady Hollow Trail while at the McDowell Nature Preserve which is about a fifteen minute drive from where we live.

After converting them to black and white I added a lot of contrast and lowered the brightness to help the black stand out from the white.

The first photo is of the mountain range on the eastern side of the United State. It is a view from the Blue Ridge Parkway somewhere in North Carolina.

The second photo is of the mountain range on the western side. It was taken from a park in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Although they are after sunset, they are not long after sunset as the full moon is just beginning to rise in the sky in the East.

I took these many years ago when I tried to see the world the way a pigeon might walking on the street.

I probably looked silly taking these photos.

These were taken over the Atlantic Ocean.

I thought the first photo had a great sunset with the swirling yellow light. Then the wind blew some clouds in turning that sunset into an even greater one below it.
