I took these many years ago when I tried to see the world the way a pigeon might walking on the street.

I probably looked silly taking these photos.

These were taken over the Atlantic Ocean.

I thought the first photo had a great sunset with the swirling yellow light. Then the wind blew some clouds in turning that sunset into an even greater one below it.

As I see it any picture worth looking at is more than the sum of its parts. It suggests a story or an emotion that resonates with the viewer to make the viewer pause a little longer.

So, here are some photos that have made me pause.

By the way, I am on “vacation” this week with our church group. Call it a “retreat”. So, I will not be looking at the computer during this time. I call that a form of “fasting”. Blessings to all of you!

Dale offers the prompt “from underneath” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. Both of these photos were taken long ago.

In the first photo I was surprised by the feathery shadows on the leaves when taking this photo into the sun. This may be a common event but I have not been able to capture that in quite the same way since.

In the second photo many noisy birds in late autumn or early spring flew from one tree to another and then continued their song.

Dale offers the freestyle or festival prompt for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. I picked freestyle which is anything goes.

These two photos were taken by the pond across the street. In the first I was surprised to the see red blossoms which I think are part of a vine using the tree as support.

The intricate leaves on the tree fascinate me with their details in the second photo. They are only a few feet away from the vine with red blossoms.

Our garden is on the back patio. There are also flowers by the front door.

These were taken in Miami Beach, Florida, near 74th Street years ago on two different mornings.

I went across the street to the park with a man-made pond.

Then I wondered: What direction should I aim my phone? These are the directions I thought might be interesting.

Having “a bad case of music festival withdrawal” Dale offers the prompt “music on film” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

Letting my imagination dance around me I found two recent photos I took on a walk through the old golf course that was turned into a park across the street.

My imagination said about the first one, “Those plants are dancing.” Then I heard, “That bee and blossom are dancing to the music of a beautiful day.” I thought to myself, You’ve got to be kidding, but I realized I best not say that out loud.

These are photos of flowers growing in our pots on the patio.

I have no idea what kinds they are. Since they came from the hardware store they are not likely rare. Since they are part of God’s creation they are very good.
