Words to sharpen out the white,
Offer some solidity,
Make me search for light when night
Teases with futility.

  1. “Words to sharpen out the white”, reminds me of what used to be called “white balance”, in photography, or also the grey scale. Your fine words add that balance between black and white that brings out the detail
