Earth

Mushrooms

From mushrooms up to maple trees
The Earth is home to all of these.
There’s so much that I cannot see
That’s tucked away mysteriously.

Mysteriously it’s come to be
From somewhere, from the wild wet sea.
It’s even home for you and me.

Maple

I enjoy walking, poetry and short prose as well as taking pictures with my phone.

  1. Those mushrooms and maple leaves look lush, Frank. It’s amazing when we stop and think about everything that’s on this Earth, the mysterious and not so mysterious. Thanks for reminding us, Frank.

  2. Somehow, our youth has to put their phones & tablets aside, and let Nature wash over them. The concrete canyons cannot, and should not compete with the Grand Canyon.

  3. very lyrical ~ almost has that “child-like innocent” quality – okay, actually it does – but in a good way, like an important lesson to teach, or show and tell – loved the first line – how great a pairing in contrasts, but so important the relationship …. and how this offers us the “take a stop, before stepping, and look around!” — may wonders never cease (coupled with all the magic and mystery) …. really lovely Frank 🙂

  4. “There’s so much I cannot see….” This is so true. As is, there is so much I do not see. Even within the city, sometimes I just like to walk slowly and spy peeks of nature from among the city’s hustle and cement. 🙂
