From mushrooms up to maple trees
The Earth is home to all of these.
There’s so much that I cannot see
That’s tucked away mysteriously.
Mysteriously it’s come to be
From somewhere, from the wild wet sea.
It’s even home for you and me.

I do agree… so little we can see, so much underneath… like mycorrhiza for the mushroom

I almost missed those mushrooms on my walk. Thank you, Bjorn!

That’s a lovely succinct scenario, or an earthly exposition. It may be both, which is pretty amazing!

Those mushrooms and maple leaves look lush, Frank. It’s amazing when we stop and think about everything that’s on this Earth, the mysterious and not so mysterious. Thanks for reminding us, Frank.

Somehow, our youth has to put their phones & tablets aside, and let Nature wash over them. The concrete canyons cannot, and should not compete with the Grand Canyon.

very lyrical ~ almost has that “child-like innocent” quality – okay, actually it does – but in a good way, like an important lesson to teach, or show and tell – loved the first line – how great a pairing in contrasts, but so important the relationship …. and how this offers us the “take a stop, before stepping, and look around!” — may wonders never cease (coupled with all the magic and mystery) …. really lovely Frank 🙂

Maples and mushrooms and mystery, so much to love here. The line “It’s come to be…from the wild wet sea” has a beautiful pacing that is still kind of dancing around in my head. Lovely poem!

So very nice, Frank. I love the rhyme and the mystery of all that we cannot see, that is hidden…and even that we don’t allow ourselves to see.

The wonder of it all comes through in the lovely sing song rhyme. Also really like the way you’ve phrased ‘From mushrooms up to maple trees’ as it actually does make the reader look up when reading.

“There’s so much I cannot see….” This is so true. As is, there is so much I do not see. Even within the city, sometimes I just like to walk slowly and spy peeks of nature from among the city’s hustle and cement. 🙂

What a perfect way to put it. We share this earth with all of creation, seen and unseen. It’s not all about us. Very nice, Frank.
