Once Upon A…

Distracted by a Maple

Once upon a daydream
The sky turned gray-cloud blue
While changing leaves
Of maple trees
Distracted me from you.

Forgive all these distractions
I wonder could we be
That key once lost
Found at great cost
Unlocking mystery?

  1. Ooooooh loving this! Those beautiful fall colors can prove a distraction to even the dearest lovers as they stroll in a park. Let’s keep looking for that key! 🙂

Key to unlock whatever measure of value will always be treasured when rediscovered! Normally it will present itself when least expected!

  3. Oh I love this Frank! I experience the sweet innocence of who we truly are through this poem, and that doesn’t even quite describe the essence. My spiritual teacher says that Self-forgiveness is the key to the kingdom. Well, maybe WE are the kingdom. So great how you weaved in the distractions that can never keep us from the truth. Have a wonderful #ForgivingFridays. 🙂 I’ll share this tomorrow. Blessings, Debbie
