In every case the light will win.
Even shadows can’t stand lies.
Though nights are cool when days begin
Forgive, give praise to morning's rise.
Linked to K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge with the theme of “living in the light” and to Debbie Roth’s Forgiving Fridays. Also linked to dVerse Poetics where Lillian is hosting with the theme of “temperature”. I am hoping I can fit the prompt with those cool nights.

I hope you are right Frank. The shadows seem large these days. (K)

You are right, Frank. The light always comes and it is darkest just before the dawn.

I like the combination of light, shadows, coolness, lies, and forgiveness with the rising morning sun — a movement from cool to warmth.

I love how deftly you combined the three prompts, Frank. “In every case light will win” is a blessed affirmation that could easily be a mantra.

I enjoyed the lightness of your quatrain, Frank, and that you chose to write about coolness and shadows in the middle of a hot spell.

I love this poem, Frank. Firstly, the photo of the sun rise and title are incredible––and apt demonstrations of how forgiving opens us to light. 🙂 . What struck me most about your poem is how the darkness doesn’t like lies. To me, this opens up the possibility that in the darkness is the seed of love, i.e., it is all divine essence. Thank you, your writing is similar to how you speak (I almost hear your voice as I read.) .
I’ll share this for Forgiving Fridays this week! Bless you Frank.
With loving,
Debbie
