Dale offers the theme “from close up” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. I was surprised that the tiny lizard sat still long enough for me to get three photos. I suspect the grasshopper sat still because it was injured. Both knew I was there, wishing I’d go away. So I moved on.

Great close up pics!! I grew up where house lizards were common and have memories of them just staying still on the wall as we went on with life around them.

I grew up in Madeira and they are everywhere. I remember my daughter as a little girl wanted to keep them as a pet when we were visiting the island. They are amazing creatures.

I remember, during my childhood, I kept a lizard as a pet. I don’t know my mother put up with it but she did.

I am sure you would, Frank! I remember having my pet lizard or a long time along with my miniature turtle. I fed them scrambled eggs. Why I remember this silly stuff is beyond me.
