It’s Spring

Dale offers the prompt “it’s spring” for this week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

The first photos are of rabbits born in a large outdoor flower pot. They soon all hopped away. I think I saw the mother rabbit earlier that year look in on them hoping they were all right.

The second photo is of an Indiana corn field that had been harvested in the autumn and was now waiting to be prepared to be planted again likely with soybeans to help replenish the ground with nitrogen.

  1. Rabbits in flower pots, how sweet! Once a mother, always a mother. Snow delivers nitrogen to the ground, doesn’t it? We still have plenty of snow. Underneath maybe there is a crocus waiting. Happy spring Frank!

  2. Hi Frank. What a great picture of those bunnies. A shot like that is rare indeed and you were lucky enough to have caught them all together. The cornfield in Indiana really shows the vastness and sometimes bleakness of the area. When my wife came with me to Remington /Rensselaer to visit she went into total shock and unbelief. She was a Philadelphia girl and never imagined those long unending corn fields. Thanks for the Spring announcement. Dan

    1. It is amazing how flat Indiana and the prairie is in general. Nonetheless, there is beauty everywhere. I forgot about the prairie while at St Joe, but I grew up with it taking it for granted on a farm nearby. Thank you, Dan!
